Organisation Profile
ACIC - Australian College Information Centre was established in 1988 with the objective in providing quality education consulting services to international students from all over the world. The prime function of our Sydney office and our representatives in Taiwan (Taipei, Taichung, Tainan), China (Shanghai), Slovak Republic (Cadca) and Poland (Krakow) is to promote Australian education to international students. Our objective is to help the students in finding a suitable program and school in Australia in order to fulfill their aspirations in obtaining higher education in a foreign country.

Goal
ACIC's goal is to become the leader in Australian Education Consultancy Industry. With the rapid increase of overseas students studying in Australia, it will be a great opportunity to introduce Australian education to the rest of the world and to upgrade our educational system and the quality of teaching. We hope that we could make our contributions to elevate the standard and status of the Australian education to become the best place to learn in the world.

Achievements
We have successfully arranged thousands of students mainly from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Czech and Slovak Republic and some from Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Vietnam and Macau to complete their higher education in Australia. ACIC enjoys an excellent reputation among international students as one of the best agents in Australia, and the number of student applications has increased to more than 1000 a year. Our outstanding performance is also recognised by many educational institutions; especially government institutions regard us as one of the most efficient and professional organisations in the industry. Therefore, we highly value the solid and long-term relationship we have built up with students and educational institutions.

ACIC has been appointed Principle Representative for many Australian Universities, TAFE NSW and the NSW Department of School Education (Government High School). Since 1994, ACIC has also been appointed Marketing Adviser by a number of institutions. ACIC was the only agent invited by AIEF to participate in the Focus Group for the international marketing strategy for the Australian Qualifications Framework in October 1995. In 1998, University of Wollongong authorised ACIC to set up the Chinese Student Admissions Centre (CSAC) for the university and to work on their behalf in handling applications and enrolments from China. ACIC is also the authorised representative of The University of Sydney, University of Melbourne and University of Wollongong to handle the PQI trial for China market.

Relationship with Educational Institutions
ACIC represents more than 100 government and private institutions throughout Australia, including universities, TAFE colleges, secondary schools, ELICOS centres, business colleges and other vocational training institutions. With our reputation and prominent standing in education consulting industry for over 12 years, we have built a very good relationship with the educational institutions. ACIC has also established its unique and efficient operating system to be compatible with the different systems in various institutions.

Role of ACIC
Professionalism and sound experience of ACIC becomes the foundation in linking schools and students together and in breaking down barriers from prejudices and misunderstandings. ACIC acts as an information management centre for schools to input their relevant information, and as an information advising centre for students to seek answers to their queries and to find solutions to their problems, thus in creating a harmonious environment for the education community.

Apart from ensuring quality services to our students and handsome returns to our investors, we are also dedicated to take the responsibility of looking after those thousands of young students who have left their home countries and parents to experience a new page of their lives in a foreign country. We realize the significance of such responsibility and the role of ACIC to perform in the industry. That is, to protect students’ interests, to ensure that ethics and integrity are enforced, to safeguard the quality of teaching and the standard of facility offered to the students are not lowered as a result of profit maximisation.

Services Provided to International Students
We provide a complete range of services to international students: from course advice, school application, placement and enrolment to after-enrolment support, accommodation assistance and career counselling. With twelve years of experience and research in the Education consulting field, we always strive to perform our services to the highest possible standard and to serve our students with great care. We are academic counsellors and welfare officers rather than sales people. Our aim is to make students feel their study in Australia is both valuable and enjoyable.
